Bailee is having her surgery on Monday, June 15th, so in the coming days, we would appreciate your prayers.
In case you don't know, when Bailee was 10 1/2 months old, she had a Urinary Tract Infection. We then went through a battery of tests and painful catheterizations. These revealed that she has some bladder defects that would eventually require surgery. Upon the pediatric urologist's suggestion, we opted to take daily preventive medication until she was between 2 and 3, at which point the surgery would be completed. So, now we are there, and we will be admitted to the Children's Hospital in Greenville on Monday at 6:30 am.
Trying to explain this to a 2 1/2 year old is difficult, but we've explained to her that Dr. Teague is going to kiss her tummy and make it all better. She has grown quite used to taking her nightly medicine, and even reminds us of it if we forget.
We should be there a couple of nights, but while she is recovering, I will keep you posted. In the mean time, please just keep us in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks!
