The mind of a two-year-old
We are constantly amazed at Bailee's development...she is becoming quite the conversationalist! She loves to sing her ABCs and count. Unfortunately, as with all two-year-olds, her mind skips from one thing to another. Here are two perfect examples:
Translation: "Twinkle, twinkle little stawa (star); how I wonder what you....Dora? Okay! [mumble, mumble] ABC....Hey Mommy!"
Translation: "Two, Fwee (three), Fourteen, Fourteen, Fourteen, etc." followed by her mashing the cookies...Not exactly what I had in mind!

Praise Report
Four years ago, for our first anniversary, Patrick gave me a pair of diamond earrings. And for the last four years, I have worn them every single day. Well to my surprise as Bailee and I were playing in the yard yesterday, I noticed that one of them was missing. My stomach dropped...I had NO idea where it might be or how long it had been missing. I immediately started retracing my steps and searched our house, but as I said, we were in the yard, so it could have also been there. Then I remembered how I had gone shopping and tried on clothes earlier in the day and it could have come off then. In either case, I knew I'd never see it again and I began preparing to tell Patrick the bad news. My last ditch effort was to call my parents and see if by chance the earring had come off while I was playing with Bailee on the floor of their family room. Alleluiah...It was there!!!! It definitely was the work of the Lord telling me to check there because I never would have thought to call or that it would even still be there! God definitely works in mysterious, but amazing ways!!!

A New Recipe
I'm always looking for something new to do in the kitchen, and when I recently found something I like, I wanted to share it. I've always made a chicken spaghetti, but this gives it a little kick and some variety. It's very easy and yummy!
1 can of Ro-Tel tomatoes (I added more to make it spicier!)
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 box of thin spaghetti noodles
3 chicken breasts diced
1 box of Velveeta cheese (diced into cubes)
1. Boil or saute the chicken.
2. Boil and drain spaghetti noodles.
3. Mix cream of chicken soup, velveeta cheese, and Ro-Tel tomatoes. Microwave until cheese is melted.
4. Mix with chicken and noodles.
5. Pour into a 13x9 Pyrex baking dish.
6. Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
7. Serve with crescent rolls and salad.
Credit for this recipe goes to Mrs. Ann Self, my WONDERFUL principal. She made lunch for us the other day and it was delicious! I don't know if this is the EXACT recipe, but I think it's close!
