This past Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I had the privilege (yes, privilege) of taking 76 fifth graders on a field trip to the Barrier Islands. It was freezing, but perfect! We slept in cabins by the beach, walked through the salt marsh, and trooped through camp in the rain....and it was so much fun! We were busy the entire time and there was always somewhere to be or something to do. We had an old-school dance, sang songs by a camp fire, did some team-building, and played all sorts of games. I am so thankful for this opportunity, and I feel truly blessed to work with a great group of teachers that like to have lots of fun and students that continue to surprise me all the time!
