Patrick and my parents laid composite (no splinters, no fading) decking on the existing deck frame. It looks awesome! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for giving up your Saturday to help us! Dad even passed on the Holly Tree Club Championship to help build a deck...what a sacrifice! Thanks again! We love you!!!
While they worked outside, we cleaned inside and Bailee got in on the action. She took the vacuum, and begin helping me in the kitchen. She may look like her Daddy, but her need-for-clean came from Mommy!
Later that afternoon, we had a celebration for Jenna Hallman, Calhoun teacher and the 2008 SC teacher of the year. We had entertainment by the fifth grade chorus and dance ensemble and our assistant principal Jamie Smith and fellow fifth grade teacher Robin Bracken singing "You Raise Me Up." Wonderful!!! The barbeque was provided by Angel McAlister and her family, and it was delicious! Bailee doesn't look too happy in many of these pictures because she had just awoken from a nap, but she did make a new boyfriend, Teghan (Trevor's son), and played with Marla (Robin's daughter). We had an awesome time!
