Soap Box

If you are a follower of this blog, you've probably read a previous post or two where I've gone on and one about how fortunate I am to have what I have. Well, here I am, back on that soapbox!

I am reminded every day just how special my family and friends are to me, and how I should never forget that all the good things in my life are gifts from God. He has blessed me with a wonderful, supportive husband; an incredibly amazing daughter; loving and encouraging parents; a terrific brother (the best a sister could ask for!); in-laws that love me like their own; wonderful friends who are always there when I need a shoulder to cry on or to share a laugh; incredible coworkers who are so supportive and helpful; terrific neighbors who love me and my family like their own; and a loving and almighty God who is there for me all the time!

We all have a tendency to focus on the negative. It's so easy because it's all around us. You can't hardly flip on the television without seeing something depressing or saddening. So, I encourage everyone to stop and think. Think about all the good things that you have in your life. Tell those you love that you love them. Spend a few extra minutes with your husband or wife and children. Hug those special people in your life. And don't forget to thank God for all of the good thing you have in your life!

What a touching post. You are right- we do have to stop and think about how much we are blessed.
